Anagoor

Anagoor was founded in 2000 in Castelfranco Veneto by Simone Derai and Paola Dallan, who were soon followed by Marco Menegoni, Moreno Callegari, Mauro Martinuz, Giulio Favotto and many others, making this project a collective experience. Since 2008 to the present day, the company has created and staged shows held in the main venues of Italian theatre, at the Biennale di Venezia, at MiTo, at the Festival delle Colline Torinesi and in many other national and international festivals. Most well-known among their works are "L.I. Lingua Imperii", "Virgilio brucia", "Socrate il Sopravvissuto / come le foglie", from the novel "Il sopravvissuto" by Antonio Scurati, "Master / Mistress of my passion" by Shakespeare. In 2016 "Virgilio Brucia" was held during the season of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano - Teatro d'Europa and, in the same year, Simone Derai received the Premio Hystrio for directing and Anagoor was awarded the Premio ANCT (Associazione Nazionale dei Critici di Teatro) for innovative theatrical research.
