Antonello Pasini

Antonello Pasini is a researcher at the CNR Institute for Atmospheric Pollution, Professor of Climate Physics at Roma Tre and Professor of Environmental Sustainability: Scientific Issues at the Gregorian University of Rome. He is a theoretical physicist and expert in complex systems and modelling. His work focuses on developing and applying mathematical models in the study of the climate, with the main purpose being the identification of the causes of climate change at regional and global scales, and to study the impact at a regional and local scale. The author of numerous articles in international journals, he is the editor of a book on artificial intelligence models for environmental applications, and he is also an active science journalist. He has published "I cambiamenti climatici. Meteorologia e clima simulato" (2003) for Bruno Mondadori, with translations in English and Persian, he edited the book "Kyoto e dintorni. I cambiamenti climatici come problema globale" (2006) for Franco Angeli and has published, together with Luca Fiorani, "Il pianeta che scotta. Capire il dibattito sui cambiamenti climatici" (2010) for Città Nuova editrice. He is also the author of the first Italian blog on climate, "Il Kyoto fisso", published from 2008 to 2012 on the "Il Sole 24 ore" webtie and from 2012 on the "Le Scienze" website (the Italian edition of "Scientific American"). He is often interviewed on climate issues by major newspapers and national TV shows.
