Corrado Bonfanti is a collector and enthusiast of computer memorabilia. "My passion," he said in an interview with 'Piccolo', "started by chance. I graduated in physics but I have always worked with computers and at a certain point I asked myself what we had before modern technology. And before that? An endless look backwards. So I started collecting relics from the past." Since then, the collector from Trieste rescues everyday appliances that would have been thrown away, restoring them and putting them in storage. His collection now boasts more than 300 calculation devices from the 1600s to modern computers, with models that have played a fundamental role in the history of technology.
