Daniela Ferrari has run the Mantua State Archive and the School of Archival Science, Palaeography and Diplomacy since 1993. She was a teacher of archives between 1995 and 2000 at the Università Cattolica in Brescia, and of archives and cartography in the architecture department at the Mantua campus of the Politecnico di Milano. She is also a board member for a number of different foundations and commissions for the awarding of grants, in addition to being a member of the ICA/COU (Committee on Outreach and User Services, International Council on Archives), which promotes communication, promotion and services to the public. She has published, together with other authors, works detailing cartographic funds, transcriptions of documentary sources, exhibition catalogues, and conference and seminar proceedings.
