Danilo Craveia

Born in Biella on 28th March 1974, after finishing high school he specialized in Archive-keeping, Palaeography and Diplomatic Studies at the School of State Archives in Turin in September 2001. Specialized in the classification and rearrangement of industrial funds (in particular in the textile industry) of church funds and photo funds. He currently deals with archive-keeping and works as a librarian for DocBi at the Centre for Documentation for the Textile Industry at Fabbrica della Ruota di Pray (Biella). He published historical studies on local issues (including the monograph "Gli eremiti della Brughiera" in 2006). Since 2000, he has written for the local daily "Eco di Biella". In 2011, he published the volume "Tollegno 1861" and the monograph "I bronzi di Oropa"; in 2012 "365 Biella: un po' di storia tutti I giorni"; in 2013 "Da ricovero di mendicità a casa di riposo. Il primo secolo di vita del «Belletti Bona»". He is currently deputy chairman of Associazione 'ArchiVivo Amici dell'Archivio di Stato di Biella'.
