Elisabetta Bartuli

Elisabetta Bartuli is an Arabist and a translator. She deals with contemporary Arabic literature, literary translation from Arabic into Italian and cross cultural dialogues. She teaches Literary Translation at the Scuola Superiore Mediatori linguistici in Vicenza and she collaborates with several literary magazines as the responsabile for the sector of Arabic and eastern oriental culture. She translated many books by Arabic authors including "La porta del sole" and "Il viaggio del piccolo Gandhi" by Elias Khuri, "L'uovo del gallo" by Muhammad Zafzaf, "Una memoria per l'oblio" by Mahmud Darwish, "Cairo Automobile Club" by 'Ala al-Aswani (with Cristina Dozio) and "Le stagioni di Zhat" by Sonallah Ibrahim. She also edited several books, from the short stories collection "Rose del Cairo" to Muhammad Barrada's "Il gioco dell'oblio" and Mahmud Darwish's "Una trilogia palestinese".
