A poetess born in Sirmione, Brescia, Franca Grisoni uses dialect as an expression instrument. Considered one of the most important contemporary Italian poets, she has frequently been compared to Emily Dickinson for her contemplation of nature and everyday events. "With L'oter", 1988 she was awarded the Premio Viareggio for poetry. She collaborates with the "Giornale di Brescia" and the magazine "Paragone". She also collaborates with several institutions from Brescia to organize poetry and biblical reading reviews.
