Lookman Adekunle Salami, known professionally as L.A. Salami, hails from London and he picked up a guitar for the first time after receiving one as a gift for his 21st birthday. Since then, he has never stopped playing and writing songs. After the EP "Prelude", he recorded the album "Dancing with Bad Grammar" in a few weeks, a much acclaimed work which moves between "Dylan-style folk, with touches of gospel and soul, and distant echoes reminiscent of the compositions and vocals of artists such as Jeff Buckley and Elliott Smith". ("Rolling Stone"). The exclusively acoustic style of his post-modern blues puts L.A. Salami on a pathway that is parallel to most mainstream music: his art is that of a modern urban storyteller in love with the greats of the past but also entangled in a London that is constantly in motion.
