Luciano Orsi, born in Piacenza on 26th May 1954, graduated in Medicine in 1979 at the University of Pavia. Specialized in anaesthesia, resuscitation and nutrition science, since 2002 he has dealt with resuscitation and intensive care at Ospedale Maggiore in Crema. From 2002 to 2010, he directed the Network of Palliative Care (home assistance and hospice) in Crema and, from 2011 to 2016, the Network of Palliative Care at Mantua's Hospital. He a member of the Bioethical Committee in Milan and SIMPA's Didactic Committee (Italian School for Palliative Medicine). He is also a founding member and a full member of SIAARTI bioethical committee (Society of anaesthesia, Analgesia, Resuscitation and Intensive Care) and the vice-director of SICP (Italian Society of Palliative Care).
