Born in Verona in 1966, Maurizio Matrone studied Fine Arts and graduated in Pedagogy. He spent many years of his life behind the wheel of a police car and even directed a major cultural foundation. He has published crime novels, short stories for anthologies and magazines, works for the theatre, arts and children's books. He has also written essays on the work of the police officer in juvenile delinquency, on crime movies, renewable literature as well as screenwriting for the big and small screens ("L'ispettore Coliandro", "Distretto di polizia", "La squadra"). He was also a interpersonal communication trainer for the police, as well as a lecturer for creative writing at important schools and universities. He created and organised festivals, literary awards and entertainment programmes. Lately he has also specialised in writing for marketing, particularly preparing company narrations in different forms, from documentaries to employee novels, focusing on the unexpected and adventurous events, rich of life and culture, in little and big companies. After presenting "Scintille" (2007-2009) and "Tracce" (2010-2013), he has hosted "Accenti" at Festivaletteratura with Giovanni Zucca since 2014.
