A librarian, anthropologist and expert of children's literature and illustration, Vera Salton works at 'Il Treno di Bogotà' bookshop in Vittorio Veneto, winner of the 2008 Andersen Prize for Best Children's Bookshop in Italy. She has collaborated with its publishing project, "Pagine randagie". She also runs workshops in schools and nurseries. Speaker in children's books, history of illustration and reading pleasure refresher courses, since 2001 she has collaborated with "Andersen, il mondo dell'infanzia". She also reads and narrates in public, often accompanied by musician Paolo Donolato. In her readings, she pays particular attention to social, multicultural and environmental issues.
