Wlodek Goldkorn, a journalist, edits the cultural section of "Espresso", a weekly for which he used to work as a New York correspondent before. After leaving Poland in 1968, he moved to Florence, where he currently lives. He published essays and books on Eastern Europe, the Jews and Israel. In the 80's, he was the founder and publisher of magazines on Central and Eastern Europe, "L'ottavo giorno" and "L'Europa ritrovata". He co-authored with Rudi Assuntino the book "Il Guardiano. Marek Edelman racconta". In "Il bambino della neve" (2016) he wakes the memories of his parents, survived to the horrors of World War II.
