Richard McGuire
Richard Mc Guire was born in New Jersey and now lives in New York. His graphic designs and his humorous stories are much appreciated especially by children. His illustrations have been published in The New Yorker and other prestigious magazines. As a child he used to make little puppets out of pegs, robots with liquid soap containers and draw on the roads with chalks. He studied music and art and in New York he founded the group Liquid Liquid, designing posters and covers. He also designed toys, play cards, wooden puzzles, and invented a solar-energy toy. He works for several animation studios and cinema productions. When he saw an orange on the Underground tracks, he was inspired to write his first children’s book. |
