Mantova (Mantua) is linked to Milan, Verona, Modena, Bologna, Padova (Padua), Parma, Roma and Vicenza by Eurostar trains (Roma d. 17.37 – a. in Mantova (Mantua) 21.40 except Saturdays. Mantova (Mantua) d. 6.46 a. in Roma 10.55 except Sundays.

Valerio Catullo Airport (Villafranca VR)
There is a daily shuttle service between the airport Valerio Catullo di Villafranca (tel. 045/6340515) and Verona Porta Nuova train station.

How to get around in Mantua

Buses
You can get around the historical center of Mantua by APAM minibuses. Buses leave every 10 minutes from 07.40 to 20.00.

From Milan to Festivaletteratura
From Thursday 4 September to Sunday 7 September, Lombardy local authorities offer an every-day free bus service for people taking part in Festivaletteratura. The buses are equipped with facilities for people with disabilities (please inform us about any special needs).
Departure from Milan – Stazione Centrale – Railway station – (on the side where the buses to the airport depart), departing at 6.30am; arriving in Mantua – Sordello Square – at 8.45am.
Departure from Mantua – Sordello Square - departing at 11.00pm; arriving in Milan – Stazione Centrale – Railway Station - (on the side where the buses to the airport depart) at 1.15am.
This service is available only for people booking events during the Festival. You will need to pre-book the bus.

Festivaletteratura by boat: during the Festival Andes ferries will offer a riverboat service for people taking part in the events which will be held at “Campo Canoa” and at “Club Nautico”. Ferries will depart from San Giorgio pier on Lago di Mezzo, in viale Mincio 30 minutes before the events start. The service is free and includes the return at the end of the events. The service is available only for people holding a ticket for the events. Tickets can be bought when boarding.
