Interview: Noo Saro-Wiwa

A journey from Nigeria to Nigeria.

Noo Saro-Wiwa is a Nigerian writer raised in England, author of the book Looking for Transwonderland. Travels in Nigeria. Her father, Ken Saro-Wiwa, fought to improve the conditions of his people, the Ogoni, against the big oil companies who have been exploiting the Niger Delta for 60 years and was unjustly arrested and executed in 1995.

After 17 years, Noo Saro-Wiwa decided to go back to the country she visited every summer when she was a child. To reconcile with all that happened and the memory of her father, she decided to visit Nigeria as a tourist. Looking for transwonderland is the exhilarating narrative of this journey.
