Marcello Flores is a professor of comparative history at Communication Science at the undergraduate course in Communication Science at Siena University, where he also directed the European Master's in Human Rights and Genocide Studies. He studied in Berkeley, Cambridge, Paris and Moscow. He also worked as editor for scientific magazines such as Italia contemporanea and I viaggi di Erodoto (for which he was director). He is also a member of the scientific committee of History of Shoah. Europe's crisis, the Jews' extermination and 20th century memory, where six volumes have been published by Utet. He also edited the six-volume work for Utet Human Rights. Rights and human dignity in the globalization era (2007). He also wrote Il Genocidio degli armeni (The Armenian Genocide) re-printed in 2017 by Il Mulino.
