Nicola Crocetti

Bborn in Patrasso in 1940, he is a translator, Greek scholar and publisher. An expert of modern Greek language and a lover of poetry, he translated a number of collections of modern Greek poets including Kavafis, Elitis, Ritsos, Seferis, Anaghnostakis. In 1981 he founded the publishing house Crocetti, specialised in Italian and foreign poetry. He is a member of the jury for the international poetry prize Attilio Bertolucci and a Unesco delegate for the international Day of Poetry.
