Andrea Gentile was born in 1985 in Isernia. When he was still a student, aged 23, he met Enrico Deaglio with whom he collaborated for over a year on "Patria 1978-2008". The following year, still with Deaglio, he works for "Il raccolto rosso 1982-2010" where he writes "Titoli di coda", stories of women, the mighty and jesters, but also of words, movies and mafia music.
In 2011 he writes, together with Maddalena Rostagno, "Il suono di una sola mano" (il Saggiatore, 2011), a narrative essay that tells the life of Mauro Rostagno.
Other than about the Italian history and its contradictions, he is very enthusiastic about literature. His articles appeared in "Alias", a cultural supplement for "il manifesto" and "Nazione Indiana".
