Carlo Boccadoro, born 1963 in Macerata, lives in Milan. He got a diploma in piano and percussions at 'G.Verdi' Conservatory in Milan, where he studied composition and attended the jazz improvisation techniques course held by Giorgio Gaslini. He is one of the new generation's cutting-edge composers, author of symphony and chamber music. He also composes for music stage plays and dance performances and often cooperates with Moni Ovadia, with whom he recorded a Yiddish music CD. His musical works have been published by EDT, Garzanti, Marcos y Marcos and Longanesi. Besides being a composer, he is also a conductor, as well as a pianist and percussionist. Together with Filippo Del Corno and Angelo Miotto, he is one of the founders of the cultural project Sentieri Selvaggi, which includes an instrumental ensemble, a programme aired on Radio Popolare and a forthcoming book on contemporary music. He also cooperates with Fabrizio Meloni, first clarinet player of La Scala Orchestra, with whom he formed Duo Obliquo.
