A writer and playwright, Elisabetta Bucciarelli wrote for the theatre, cinema and television. She studied at the Laboratorio di Scrittura Dramaturgia of Piccolo Teatro di Milano, she made her debut when she was twenty with the play Forte come un toro; then she co-wrote several plays, together with the plots and the screenplays of short and medium-length film, working with artists such as Roberta Torre and Daniele Pignatelli. Since 2004, she has been scriptwriting for TV. In 2005, she started the mystery books with the Milanese protagonist Maria Doloers Vergani. The series ended in 2013 with the novel Dritto al cuore. She wrote several short stories published in newspapers and anthologies. In 2013, she went back to theatre with the radio play L'etica del parcheggio abusivo. Then she published the essay on writing Scrivo dunque sono (2014) and, in 2015, the novel La resistenza del maschio. For Caracò she edited in 2017 L'uomo nero. Stereotipi maschili raccontati dalle donne, an anthology of short stories, followed in the same year by the book Chi ha bisogno di te.
