Licia Troisi, born in Rome in 1980, after leaving liceo classico (an high school with emphasis on humanities), graduated in Astrophysics with a dissertation on dwarf galaxies. She is one of Italy's most important fantasy writers, thanks to her two trilogies published by Mondadori. The first, entitled Cronache del mondo emerso, includes Nihal della Terra del Vento, La missione di Sennar, Il talismano del potere, and the second, entitled Guerre del mondo emerso, includes La setta degli assassini, Le due guerriere and Un nuovo regno. In 2008, she published La ragazza Drago, the first novel of a series ended in 2012 with L'ultima battaglia. Her hobbies span from reading, music and drawing to comic strip and social commitment.
