After graduating in cello from the Conservatory in Frosinone, Marco Remondini started his jazz career in 1991, becoming part of Mauro Negri's quartet Trapezomantilo. The group's albums were well received by critics, and they won the Concorso Nazionale JazzContest that Capolinea in Milan in 1991 and performed at major festivals across Italy. In the same year, they were chosen by Gianluigi Trovesi to join his octet. This group was also heralded by international critics and toured all around the world. He is considered one of Italy's leading cellists. He has taken part and a number of different theatrical projects of prose, dance and poetry, particularly with the Scraps Orchestra, which was created in 1992 by Stefano Boccafoglia, which has performed together with artists such as Paolo Fresu and Fausto Mesolella.
