Sergio Ruzzier was born in Milan in 1966 and started his career as an illustrator and writer in 1986. In 1995 he moved to New York, where he started creating stories for international magazines and publishing houses. Since 1989 he has worked with Linus, a comic-strip book and then created the character of Bruno for "Lupo Alberto Magazine". He also works for the "New York Times" and the "Washington Post". His work and watercolours have received awards from ""American Illustration", The Society of Illustrators, "Communication Arts" and The Society of Publication Designers. He was awarded the gold medal at Parents' Choice for "Why Mole shouted" (2004) and "The Room of Wonders" (2006).
