A lawyer and writer born in Piacenza in 1960, he made his debut with Fìdeg, a bizarre and irreverent story of a literary adventure published by Alet in 2007. As explained in the glossary at the end of the work, the title is an expression in dialect meaning 'liver'. It won the Campiello Opera Prima Prize one month after its publication and received a special mention at Premio Viareggio in the same section. Kammerspiel was the second novel published by Alet in 2008 and in 2010 Dioblù, published by Rizzoli. He also authored several short stories, some of which were published in Linus and one in the collection Panta. Emilia Fisica, edited by Paolo Nori (Bompiani, 2006). Together with Daniele Benati, Ugo Cornia and Paolo Nori he edited the literary magazine L'accalappiacani, «a biannual publication of comparative literature to nothing» published by DeriveApprodi. Senti le rane (2015), his fourth novel, was nominated for the Premio Campiello. In 2019 he wrote La vita dispari; in 2022 Salvarsi a vanvera.
