Architectural historian and critic, born in 1966, he is full professor at the Architecture and Industrial Design Department at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli". Curator of exhibitions and events in Italy and abroad, he works as an architectural consultant for many public and private companies. In 2015 he founded his own independent studio. He has worked with Lotus, Abitare, Domus, Archis, L'architecture d'aujourd'hui, A+U, il Corriere della Sera, La Stampa e L'Espresso. Since 2018, he is chief editor of the architecture magazine Platform. Since 1995, he has been in charge of the architecture and home design section for the publishing house Skira. Between 2001 and 2004, he was scientific director for architecture and urban planning at the Triennale di Milano. In 2010, he curated the Italian pavilion at the XII Venice Architecture Biennale. Since 2012, he has been a member of the MiBac Council for cultural and natural heritage. He received the Premio "Ernesto Nathan Rogers" for the criticism and communication of architecture at the X Biennale d'Architettura and the UIA Jean Tschumi Prize for Critics.
