A crowded Piazza Castello gave a resounding applause to Michela Murgia and Elif Shafak - two of the most interesting writers on the contemporary literary scene, intellectuals who are willing to "speak their minds" in the words of the British-Turkish author, facing sometimes irreversible consequences in order to confront the injustices of today's society.

After the event, Shafak stopped to chat with the editorial team at the Festival.
