Dario Moretti is a theatre playwright and set designer specialized in children's performances. After his experience with the puppeteer Giordano Franchi and his studies at DAMS, in 1978 he founded Teatro all'Improvviso of which he still is art director and produces performances shown around the most famous national and international children's festivals. As set designer, he collaborated with various companies such as Centro Teatrale Bresciano, Teatro Reon di Bologna, Teatro Stabile del Veneto, Teatro Giocovita and Ravenna Teatro. His productions are a blend of images and words, much appreciated in Le stagioni di Pallina" (2002) – for which he won the ETI 'Stregagatto' Prize in 2004 – followed by many other works. The more recents are: Circo Monster (2021), Tre sagome (2021), Attraverso il bosco and Storia di luce (2022). In 2017 he won the Ciampi Prize 'L'altrarte' for his artistic career.
