Davide Morosinotto was born in Camposampiero, in the province of Padua in 1980. He lives and works in Bologna as a publicist and videogame translator, his first loves which, together with science-fiction, he has been able to turn into a profession, becoming one of the most prolific Italian children's authors in recent decades. In 1997 he was a finalist at the Premio Campiello giovani and in 2004 at the Premio Urania. In 2007 he won the Premio Mondadori Junior Awards. In addition to releasing novels such as La corsa della bilancia, Il libero regno dei ragazzi and the gripping alternative history La notte dei Biplani, for Piemme, Rizzoli, EL and Mondadori he is the author and co-author of several series published under pseudonyms, both writing alone (Jeremy Belpois, David Carlyle) and with others (Jonathan Spock and Amelia Drake).
