A classical philologist and writer, in addition to his work in publishing and managing, with others, the digital collection Quodlibet Note Azzurre, he works with the Università di Firenze in the field of classical studies. He has published Morti favolose degli antichi (2010), a book in which he relates the most admirable and impressive deaths in Greek and Roman antiquity, detailing how kings, poets, tyrants, warlords, famous men and women and even entire armies and peoples passed away. He has translated Xenophon's Anabasis (2012) for Quodlibet and released the essay Oracoli, santuari e altri prodigi (2013) together with Marina Ballo Charmet. In 2015, he published Vite efferate di papi, a brilliant and erudite work that details the vices, virtues, oddities and ambitions of those who, from Peter to Pius IX, took their place on the papal throne.
