Elia Malagò, born in Felonica, near Mantua, is an author and poet. After living for a long time in Bologna, where she graduated under the supervision of Ezio Raimondi, she decided to move to Mantua where she taught at the Liceo Classico Virgilio for several years. She has been the editor for Forum-Quinta generazione until its closure, in 1995. For years she has been an advisor for Festivaletteratura and the promoter of teaching activities dealing with poetry and creative writing. She published a number of poem collections, from Ci dev'essere un posto (1967) and 10 racconti. Gente del fiume (1968). In 2010 she published an extraordinary poem collection entitled Incauta solitudine; in 2014 Golena and in 2018 Calende.
