Federica Velonà was born in Naples on 14 September, 1963. She lives in Rome, where she studied literature at the Università "La Sapienza". She has worked at Rai since 1987, with a three year interlude in Milan at Rosellina Archinto Editore. She was an editor of the programme Fahrenheit for Radio 3 and now curates the Rai literature portal www.letteratura.rai.it.
