La Compagnia della Lettura is a group of non-professional readers coordinated by Luca Scarlini. Starting in 2011, the group organizes since then public readings during the Festival and beyond, mostly connected with one of the temporary libraries created during each edition of Festivaletteratura. In 2013, the company has focussed on Italian fairy tales, with special attention to those collected by Isaia Visentini in the Mantua countryside at the end of the 19th century; in 2014 on texts written by Buzzati, Calvino, Malerba, Rubino and many more. In 2015, the company interpreted an italian-gothic literary repertoire; in 2016 a repertoire focused on fashion in Italian literature and in 2017 a repertoire of several sport literature masterpieces. Since 2018, the company is protagonist of public performances related to Festivaletteratura's projects Una città in libri and La panchina epistolare.
