Massimo Cirri (born 1958 in Carmignano) is a psychologist for the National Health Service. Since 1997, he writes and conducts Caterpillar on Rai Radio 2, a program composed of news and political satire. During this show he created the campaign "M'illumino di meno": the initiative shows how saving energy can actually help resolving our planet's energy problems. Since many years, Cirri is also a playwright with Lella Costa and he has been tv author for Fuori Orario (1987-88, Rai 3), Saxa Rubra (1994, Rai 3) and Mitiko (2006, La7). Moreover, he wrote for Diario, Linus, Smemoranda, Tango, Playboy. Together with Renzo Ceresa he created the Festival Radioincontri in 2004, which took place for a decade in Riva del Garda. In 2007, he and Filippo Solibello were awarded the Ambrogino d'oro. His last works are: Il tempo senza lavoro (2013), a recollection of the Agile ex-Euthlia worker's tales, and Un'altra parte del mondo (2016), the moving tale of Aldo T., the schizoid son of the famous Italian politician Palmiro Togliatti, followed in 2017 by the book Sette tesi sulla magia della radio and in 2022 by Quello che serve. Un racconto tra malattia, cura e Servizio Sanitario Nazionale (2022, with Chiara D'Ambros).
