Antonio Vincenti, aka Sualzo (1969), a would-be saxophonist and self-taught illustrator, has written and illustrated for a number of different Italian publishing houses. His books have been published in France, Portugal, Croatia, Switzerland, Poland, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan, China, South Korea and the United States. With his first graphic novel L'improvvisatore (Rizzoli-Lizard), he won the prize for best screenplay at the Festi'BD di Moulins 2009 and was among the five finalists at the Premio Micheluzzi 2010. Together with Silvia Vecchini, he is the author of Fiato sospeso (Tunué), which won the Premio Boscarato and the Premio Orbil in 2012 for best comic for children and teens. He published Fermo in 2013 for Bao Publishing, followed in 2014-15 by two books on the adventures of a donkey (Gaetano) and his son (Zolletta). His latest works with Silva Vecchini: 21 giorni alla fine del mondo (Il Castoro, 2019); the novel Prima che sia notte (Bompiani, 2020); Le parole possono tutto (Il Castoro, 2021).
