Randa Ghazy, born in Saronno to Egyptian parents, studied at the University of Milan and studies International Relations. As early as 15, in 2002, she published Sognando Palestina with Fabbri, a story of friendship amongst a group of teenagers in the occupied territories: a highly successful book with over twenty thousand copies sold, translated in fifteen languages, including USA, Israel and Egypt. Her second book Prova a Sanguinare, was published in 2005. With her Oggi Forse Non Ammazzo Nessuno. Storie Minime di una giovane musulmana stranamente non Terrorista, story of twenty-year-old Jasmine, she confirms her literary talent and offers the reader an ironic point of view on second generation immigrants in search of a recognized identity.
