Simonetta Bitasi, born in Mantua, took a graduation in Modern Languages at the University of Bologna with Ezio Raimondi. She then worked in a bookshop and she wrote book reviews for several magazines, including Diario, Liber and GQ Italia. She still runs a weekly cultural column for the Gazzetta di Mantova and she long directed the press review on Radio Base. She is also a consultant for Festivaletteratura, for which she previously created the Centoautori. Her work is to read, and she organizes reading sessions and meetings in libraries, bookshops, festivals and cultural circles. Since many years she promotes literature for children and grown-up also through the pages of the website Lettore Ambulante.
