Annarosa Buttarelli taught Philosophical Hermeneutics and Philosophy at Verona University and is a member of "Diotima" philosophical community. Several of her writings have been published in volumes curated by Diotima (Liguori Editions). She has devoted essays and monographs to the Spanish philosopher María Zambrano, of whom she is considered one of the leading European scholars, and more recently to the philosopher and art critic Carla Lonzi, whose milestone works she is currently editing for republication with La Tartaruga, starting with the seminal Sputiamo su Hegel. Deeply engaged in the philosophy and politics of sexual difference, she is the author of several books, including: Sovrane. L'autorità femminile al governo (Il Saggiatore, 2013) Bene e male ripensati. Il sottosopra delle filosofe (Tlon, 2023) Pensiero osceno. Lo scandalo delle donne che pensano (Tlon, 2025). In 2016, she received the "Arte, Sostantivo Femminile" Award at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome (Valle Giulia) for her contributions to the field of philosophy. In 2018, she was appointed Scientific Director of the foundation "Scuola Alta Formazione Donne di Governo". She was also the creator and coordinator of the two-year second-level master's program "Consulenza filosofica di trasformazione" at the University of Verona. She is currently Course Content Director and lecturer at the IUAV University of Venice.
