Born in 1976 in Gemona del Friuli, she graduated with a degree in Economics and Commerce and illustrated books for a small publishing house, making her fiction debut in 2018 with the thriller Fiori sopra l'inferno (Flowers over Inferno, Longanesi). Barely a year later, her second novel, Ninfa dormiente, was published by the same house. At the center of these first two works is a protagonist, Superintendent Teresa Battaglia, who captured the hearts of many readers, alongside a captivating portrayal of Friuli, its history, and its mysteries. In her subsequent work Fiore di roccia (2020), through the voice of Agata Primus, Tuti celebrated her mountains in a true act of love—described as "a taut novel in which no word is superfluous, no description 'decorative'". In 2021, she returned to the Teresa Battaglia series with Luce della notte and Figlia della cenere; 2021 also marked the nomination of Ninfa dormiente for the Edgar Awards and the author's debut in the graphic novel genre with La bambina pagana, a dark and mysterious tale featuring illustrations by Ivano Granato. Her novelistic production has continued to grow with further titles in recent years: in addition to Madre d'ossa (2023), the dramatic sequel to Figlia della cenere, Tuti has penned, once again for Longanesi, three other powerful historical novels set during the stormy first half of the twentieth century: Come vento cucito alla terra (2022), Risplendo non brucio (2024), and Ed è un poco la notte and un poco l'alba (2026).
