Silvia Vecchini (Perugia, 1975) is an author of children's stories, early readers, books about works of art, young adult novels, poetry collections, and comic books. She writes scripts for comic strips, as well as columns and activities for children's and teens' magazines. Several of her books have been translated into France, Spain, Poland, South Korea, and other countries. She develops educational paths for schools and meets children and teenagers in libraries and bookstores for readings and writing workshops. Her latest works co-created with the illustrator Antonio Vincenti, known as Sualzo, include: the novel Prima che sia notte (Bompiani, 2020 and 2023); the graphic novels Le parole possono tutto (Il Castoro, 2021) and Del buio non ho paura (Il Castoro, 2026); the illustrated book Quello nuovo (Il Castoro, 2021); and the collection I bambini si rompono facilmente (Bompiani, 2023). Since 2022, she has also written, among many others, the children's book Jole (Topipittori, 2022, illustrated by Arianna Vairo); the sports novel Mille briciole di luce (Il Castoro, 2023); the essay on writing C'è una poesia che ti aspetta (Topipittori, 2025); and the poetry collection Se tutte insieme (Bompiani, 2026).
